Hi
We are now on day 23 of the lockdown and I am still actually enjoying the time at home with my family and being able to craft when I like! It is so very strange not being able to just pop out for whatever reason isn’t it? I will be so very pleased when we are all back to some sort of normality, whatever that may be!
Today I am sharing my Bee explosion box that was one of the last projects we made before the lockdown.
I have to say that the bee collection is my favourite set this year. I have been able to make so many beautiful projects using these.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
If would like to know how we made this, drop me an email twinksstamping@live.com
Take care and stay safe and well.

What you will need to make this box:
1 piece of 12″ x 12″ Black card stock. You are going to score this at 4″ & 8″, turn 90 degrees and score again at 4″ & 8″.
Fold and burnish score lines.
You will then need to cut out the four corner squares either by using your cutter or a pair of snips/scissors.
Each mat (there are 5 sections that require mats) is made up of 3 layers. Daffodil Delight measuring 3 1/2″, black 3″ and the whisper white at 2 1/2″. Decorating is done using the gorgeous Honey Bee bundle.
You can put anything you like on the centre mat, I chose a craft box that contained a hive shaped candle to match the bees theme.
The lid is made by cutting a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock measuring 6 1/16th and scoring at 1″ on all four sides. Fold and burnish. To create tabs on each corner you need to cut to score line and then remove a diagonal slither from each edge of the tab. Add glue to the tabs and attach to create and box lid. See pic.
You will then need to cut the mats for the lid. Daffodil Delight measuring 3 1/2″, black 3″ and then using the Stitched shapes, cut a small square from Daffodil Delight card stock.
I die cut two detailed bees, one in gold and one in black and then I paper pieced the black pieces on to the body of the bee. Then I used a mini dimensional and placed onto stitched square.
Happy Crafting! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
