Christmas card using wash technique

Hi there, hope you are all managing to keep safe and well?

Today’s card is somewhat out of my comfort zone! I wanted to have a go at using the watercolour card and the inks. I don’t have any of the re-inkers so had to use my ink pads. First of all I wet my watercolour card using my brush and some water. I don’t soak it but I do make sure I have a good covering.

I then pressed the ink pads onto an empty block (one colour each end). My colours of choice were Seaside Spray and Balmy Blue. I then added some water to my water painter and added to the ink on the block.

With my loaded brush, I swiped my brush across with the different colours until I was happy with my result. Leave this to dry.

Once dry, I went around the edge with a glue pen and then added some glitter.

I also used my glitter spray which is a mixture of rubbing alcohol and some of the Frost White Shimmer Paint.

Before I adhered to my base card I wrapped the crinkled seam binding ribbon around my card and tied a bow. Then I adhered to my base card.

I stamped the sentiment for the Peaceful Boughs stamp sets in Night of Navy.

Added a tree sticker from the Most Wonderful Time refill kit and a stag from the North Pole Wonder dies.
