HOW TO CREATE A POP OUT WOW CARD

Hi, hope you are all ok and able to keep warm and dry in the awful weather we been having lately. Luckily I have been able to shelter in my Studio and getting on with my video & blog which are both entitled How to Create a Pop out Wow card.

Here is the WOW part of the card!

When the recipient opens up the card, out this pops!

This card is quite simple to put together, just make sure you glue it the right way round!! You will know what I mean if you watch the video! I never edited my videos and leave all the mistakes in there!

Instructions:

Base card: Cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 10″ x 5″ scored at 5″ on 10″ side
To make the pop out, cut a piece of Basic White card stock to measure 7″ x 7″. Score at 3 1/2″, turn and score at 3 1/2″. You are now going to score diagonally from tip to tip on one side.
Fold the diagonal score line to create a mountain fold. The two other score lines should be folded to create valley folds. Piinch the two mountain folds to create a little square when all scores folded.

Decorating your card

From Basic Black card stock, cut 4 mats each measuring 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″.
Then you will need 2pcs of paper to measure 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ which will be layered onto two of the basic black mats.
Using a contrasting paper, cut two pieces measuring 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″.
Take the two basic black card mats (3 1/4″ SQ) & two contrasting papers ( 3 1/8″ SQ) and cut each of them diagonally. Layer the papers onto the basic black card mats.
Adhere the square mats and the diagonal mats onto your card.
Cut a piece of basic black card stock to measure 4 7/8″ and a piece of contrasting paper measuring 4 3/4″ and layer. This should then be adhered to the front of your card.
Die cut 1 large scalloped circle in basic black card stock and 1 plain circle in basic white card stock. Stamp the flower from the Hand Penned Petals onto the white circle. Adhere flat to your basic black scalloped circle and then add dimensionals to the back and attached to the front of your card.
The two squares inside the card were decorated with two die cut labels from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. One of the labels had the sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set and the other label was decorated using a flower which had been stamped and heat embossed and die cut out from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp set.
