Hi, how are you all ? How is your week going? I am still enjoying the sunshine and am loving my new healthy exercise, namely aqua aerobics. Just love it! I try and get onto a class at least 2 times a week and if I am really lucky, I get on all 4! Makes me feel so refreshed after the class. Anyway, today I wanted to share with you something a little different that I had seen being made, by Kim Fee of Simply Fairies. I am going to show you how to create a gift wrapper for your chocolate bars!! Who doesn’t like chocolate eh?
By they way, the chocolate bar that I have used to wrap is a Ritter Sport Wholenut bar so obviously the measurements are for this!!! If you don’t have one of these, you just have to measure length, width and depth of your bar, add a 1.5cm each end for the closure!
Products Used – (links to the products are at bottom of post)
- Hand Penned Petals stamp set
- Hand Penned Designer Series Paper
- Pale Papaya card stock
- Basic White card stock
- Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Stampin’ Blends in Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya & Fresh Freesia
Base card
Cut a piece of Basic White card stock by placing the card into the cutter, with the long side along the top and cutting down at 22.5cm, then turn the card so that the short side is along the top of the cutter and then cut at 12cm. Place your card with long side at top, back into the cutter, then score at 1.5cm, 10.5cm, 12cm & 21cm. Fold and burnish all the score lines.
Mats & decoration
To create the mats, cut two pieces of Pale Papaya card stock which will measure 11.5cm x 8.8cm and then cut two pieces of Hand Penned papers to measure 11cm x 8.3cm. Adhere the designer papers to the card stock. DO NOT STICK TO WHITE CARD. card stock.
Open out the white scored card and lay flat on the desk, right side up. Place your ribbon evenly over the whole of the length of the white card, in the centre, leaving enough ribbon each end to be able to create a nice bow. Put a piece of double sided tape over the ribbon to stop it moving. You can now adhere your two mats on top of the ribbon.
To decorate
Taking a piece of scrap white card stock, stamp the flower, colour and then die cut out. Place a couple of dimensionals on the back ready to put onto your card,
Die cut a label from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Stamp your sentiment to the left hand side/bottom of the label. Adhere flat on to the top centre of your wrapper.
You can now attach your flower to the label, Add an opal round to complete.
Add your chocolate bar, tie your bow and gift!!
