Hi, how are you all ? How is your week going? Well, there has been no improvement in our weather here in the South East of England. We have had a week of rain and it has been really muggy too!! Anyway, as I have said previously crafting always saves the the day and so today I wanted to share with you how to use the shimmery white embossing paste on my card.

Here is today’s card

How to use shimmery white paste on your card

Base card

Cut a piece of Basic White card stock by placing the card into the cutter, with the short side along the top and cutting down at 5″, then turn the card so that the long side is along the top of the cutter and then cut at 10″. Leave in trimmer and score at 5″. Fold and burnish the score line. This is your square base card

Mats & decoration

To create the mat, cut a piece of Basic White card stock which will measure 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″. DO NOT stick mat to base card.

How to use Shimmery White paste

You are now going to place your decorative mask over your white mat. If you wish you can tape this down with a little low tack tape to keep it from moving.

Using a palette knife, collect some paste from the pot. Then, scrape the paste with your pallet knife across the part of the mask that you wish to decorate. You only need a thin layer! Keep moving the paste back and forwards across the mask until you are happy that you have covered the area you want to cover, Try not to put too much of the paste on because if you do then when you come to remove the mask, it will smudge and land up with blobs!

How to emboss your flower spray

Taking a piece of vellum card stock, stamp the flower from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set, using Versamark. Sprinkle on the white embossing powder and heat (this is the “heat” part of embossing) using your heat tool.

Find a mat that is fairly spongy. Place your embossed flower onto the mat face down. Then using an embossing tool, emboss the largest three flowers by rubbing the flower petals in small circular strokes (this is dry embossing). DON’T press too hard as this will tear the vellum.

Keep your flower face down and colour the smaller flowers using the Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend and the leaves, in Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends.

You can now attach your flower to the base card by adding some dimensionals to the largest two flowers only.

Stamp with Evening Evergreen ink, your sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set onto your card.

Add some Genial Gems to your flowers.
