Hand Penned Petals 4"x4" card

Hi, how are you all ? How is your week going? Well, there has still been no improvement in our weather here in the South East of England. We have had yet more rain and high winds too! Is it really summer?? Anyway, I have come along today to create a Hand Penned Petals 4″x4″ card that may inspire you x

Forever Fern Stamp set
Fresh Freesia card stock
Basic White card stock
Gold Foil card
Penned Flowers Dies
Greenery Embossing Folder
Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder
Wink of Stella
Genial Gems
Ribbon – Fresh Freesia

Base card

Cut a piece of Basic White card stock by placing the card into the cutter, with the long side along the top and cutting down at 4″, then turn the card and cut at 8″. Leave in trimmer and score at 4″. Fold and burnish the score line. This is your square base card

Mats

To create the mat, cut a piece of Gold foil card stock which will measure 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″. and adhere flat to your base card. Then cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to measure 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ square, this should then be placed in the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and embossed using your cut/emboss machine. This can then be adhered to the gold foil.

You will now need to cut a piece of basic white cardstock to measure 3 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ which you will place into the Greenery embossing folder and embossed in your cut/emboss machine. Adhere this to your base card leaving about 1cm border on the left hand side.

Decorating your card

Die cut a stitched circle which can be adhered to the front of your card using dimensionals.

Stamp out your flower from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set using the Fresh Freesia ink pad. This can now be die cut using the Penned Flowers die. Colour your flower using the Wink of Stella pen. Add a couple of dimensionals on the back of the flowers and glue on the leaves and stem and attach to your stitched circle.

Tie a knot in your ribbon and attach to the stem of your flower using a glue dot.

Stamp your sentiment and cut out. Adhere across the flower, flat.

To complete your card, add your gems.
