Quick tutorial using the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper

Hi, how are you all ? How has your weekend/week been? Well I can report that I have had a fabulous weekend at the Simply Fairies craft retreat run by Kim Fee. It was so nice to get together with friends, eat lots of food and spend all day, evening & next day crafting!! However, now I am back home I have had to knuckle down and get on with my video/blog to came up with this quick tutorial using the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper.

First card with a white sentiment

Second card is using a black & gold sentiment

Products Used

Basic White card stock
Basic Black card stock
Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper (DSP)
Layering circles dies
Hand Penned Petals stamp set
Penned Flowers die set
Sweet as a Peach stamp set (for sentiment)
Gold embossing powder
Versamark clear ink pad
White Chalk Marker
Wink of Stella

Instructions

Create your card base by cutting your basic white card stock to measure at 14.8cm x 21cm and score on long side at 10.5cm. Then cut a piece of Basic Black to measure 14.3 x 10cm and adhere flat to the card base. Now cut a piece of Simply Elegant DSP to measure 13.8cm x 9.5cm and adhere this to your black mat on the base card.

Die cut the 3″ scalloped layering circle die from basic black card stock and then cut a plain circle die approx 2 1/2″ from Basic White card stock. Adhere the white circle to the black scalloped circle. Place dimensionals on the back of the layering circles and add to your card.

Using Versamark clear ink pad, stamp your flower spray from the Hand Penned Petal stamp set and then sprinkle with gold embossing powder. Heat to set using the heat tool. Die cut the embossed flower spray using the Penned flowers dies.

To colour your spray of flowers use the White Chalk Marker and colour the three larger flowers, then, go over with the Wink of Stella sparkly pen.

Stamp your sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set on either black or white card stock and depending on which colour you choose, use either black ink or Versamark and gold embossing. Add to your card.

You can add rhinestones if you wish.
