Hi, hope you are ok? Time has run away with me again recently as has the elusive mojo. I really don’t know where the blighter keeps going, to the beach maybe? Anyway, to try and motivate myself again, I decided that I would start making some gifts ready for Christmas, so I have come up with this tutorial making a lavender / bath salts gift packet.

I have made several of these in lots of different papers but todays makes are so pretty, I thought I would do a video on them. I have used the Sale A Bration papers & Stamp Set “Wonderful World” which can be yours for free when placing a £90 order from 1 July until the end of August.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper to measure 9 1/4″ x 6 1/2″. Decide which edge will be the bottom of your packet. Score this edge at 1″. Place paper with scored line at the top of your trimmer and score at 2 1/2″ & 6 1/2″. The top of your packet will NOT be scored.

Fold and burnish all of your score lines. Along the 1″ edge you will see three “boxes”. You will need to cut out the left & right ones to create a single “flap” in the centre. Angle each side of the flap.

You are now going to adhere the 2 1/2″ & 6 1/2″ flaps over each other to create the body of the packet. The 1″ angled flap can now be adhered flat to “close” the packet.

Inside Envelopes

Next, cut a piece of card stock to measure 6 3/4″ . I have used an envelope maker to create the envelope and will therefore need to make my first punch & score @ 3″. The envelope has then been adhered together. I then stamped an image from the Wonderful World stamp set, onto the front & back of the envelope to add interest.

For the Lavender/bath salts holder, cut a piece of Vellum card stock to measure 6″ x 6″. Once again I have used the envelope maker to create this 3′ x 4′ envelope. The first punch & score was made at 2 5/8″. Punch out a small 1 1/2″ circle and decorate with a fussy cut image from the Wonderful World designer series paper.

Tag

Create a small 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ tag from basic white card stock. I used a small off cut from the Wonderful World paper to decorate. I also made myself a very cute dangle from my bead stash, I thought it would add a little special something!
