Hi, how are you all? Have you been enjoying the warmer weather? Bit too hot at times for me as it gets very warm in my studio. I tried a couple of times to do a video for you but the studio was just too hot. However, today I have finally been out there to do a video on how to create a background to make a simple card. I hope you enjoy
I loved the design so much, I made 5 of them and placed them in an acetate case!!
You will need to watch the video on how I created the background, once you have done this you can then proceed to make your card.
How to create your card
The base card is made by putting your A4 card stock in your trimmer with the long side across the top and cutting down at 14.9cm, then turn and score at 10.5cm. You can then cut another piece of basic white measuring 13.9cm x 9.5cm as your mat layer.
On the basic white mat, stamp your sentiment (I used the Country Flowers stamp set) and then adhere flat to your base card
From your newly created background, created using Lemon Lolly, Pretty in Pink & Balmy Blue ink pads, you are going to die cut a wreath from the Encircled in Nature die set. Place small amounts of glue on the back of your die cut and adhere to the front of your card.
From the new In Colour Glimmer card, I used a butterfly die from my stash (Butterfly Wings – retired SU die set). It was then glued along the back of its body and placed onto the card.
To complete my card I added some rhinestones.
